Many people say that “laughter is the best medicine” and quite a number of people roll their eyes when they hear people say that “laughter is the best medicine”. But all facts considered, laughter has been shown to help improve the health and general well being of patients.

So the next time if you feel the urge to stifle a laugh, don’t. People who laugh more are generally less prone to chronic ailments. Laugher has been shown to boost the immune system and help undo the more serious effects of depression. It has also been shown to protect the heart from premature malfunction and has been attributed to have a beneficial effect on an extremely wide variety of ailments.

There are many kinds of yoga exercises, all which seem to have derived from the original eight stages of reaching a state of bliss. The most popular kind of yoga is Hatha-Yoga, which focuses on the poses and breathing techniques thereby helping to encourage good health.

A nice thing about yoga is that you don’t need any fancy equipment in order to practice it. A positive attitude is all you need to bring. Clothing does not have to be special either. Simply wear some loose fitting, non-restrictive clothing.

The question “What is Yoga?” is not the type of question that is answered simply or in depth in such a short space. The practice of yoga has numerous unique schools of thought and varying opinions. In ancient Hinduism, the term “yoga” is more or less a general one, similar to the word “biology” or “physics”.
